Don't you just love a vacation photo?

Who doesn't? Here's me and my awesome sister and our kids (minus one who went to the air show with Dad) visiting Old Salem in North Carolina. It was hot, there were thousands of butterflies, we got to hang out and learn a thing or two. Super fun.

The two girls in their matching outfits were a hit with the historical re-enacters; especially one over-enthusiastic docent who described her typical Sunday outfit thusly: "Sometimes I wear a yellow skirt with a black top, sometimes I wear my yellow skirt with a white top. Sometimes I even wear a cardigan." Fascinating stuff.
