Hot Cross Buns

 
Breakfast on Good Friday, hot cross buns just out of the oven. Without seeming to be overly proud on a day of reflection and repentance, I have to say this is easily my best batch ever. Soft, spiced insides, burnished golden crust outside, warm from the oven and with just-set sticky icing, they were delicious.
