Podcast of the week: Mr. Daisey and the Apple Factory

If you own a piece of Apple technology (as I do), you owe yourself a listen. And then go over to NPR and make a donation.

Hi Sarah! Actually, if you support what This American Life is doing, it's much better to donate directly to them. (I'm guessing that's why you suggested making the donation!) NPR is a separate entity when it comes to funding and donations. Money you donate to NPR will help fund great stuff, like NPR's reporting staff around the world. And that's not bad at all! But it won't fund the work you hear on This American Life.

Hi Jeannie,

Ooh, thanks for the advice! I assumed all the NPR money would go into one big pot. I am incredibly naive about the mysteries of public broadcasting! I do donate directly to TAL (and did after that podcast, because of the appeal at the start of it), but I have also clicked the "donate now" button at NPR.org, assuming it was all going to the same place.

I am continually amazed that the TAL podcast is free though. I would totally pay for it......
