Four years and counting!

You are cordially invited to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary here at A Puppet Opera!

Can you believe it's been four years already? Us neither. Oh how time flies when someone else makes coffee for you every morning (thanks Jules!). First, the basics: we got married on the eighth of October in 2004, on the only wet and rainy day of an otherwise sparkling, shiny week, four years after we first started dating. The wedding was held at my family's church, St. John's, in my hometown, Joliet, Illinois, the same church that has had a member of my family in the pews every Sunday since the 19th century.

It was a great experience to add another big celebration in a place that has played such a big part in my family's life.

Our wedding was held (ooh, controversial!) on a Friday night, because Friday is supposed to be lucky day, and heaven knows we need all the luck we can get! One gigantic piece of luck came in the shape of all the friends and family who came over from England to help us celebrate.

It was such fun! We danced, we drank, we ate chocolate cake. It was the best night of our lives!

Ahh, sweet memories. We'd both do it all over again in an instant (though perhaps with better weather next time)! Thanks for helping us celebrate our fourth anniversary! We're both looking forward to the next fifty!
