We had a marvelous weekend (somehow managed to stretch our anniversary celebrations across three days), and are looking ahead to a new and busy week. The sky is a clear, vibrant blue, the kind of blue you get only in October, stunning against the rich orange leaves of the sugar maples. We spent the afternoon yesterday kicking through the fallen leaves at the Royal Botanic Garden at Kew, and sharing a picnic under a canopy of golden grape vines. Ahhh, Autumn. It's time to start thinking about Halloween costumes, sweaters, plaid skirts and reefer coats, and recipes for pumpkin. Bliss.
