A Victory for Grammarians

The lovely and literary Oscar-winning actress Emma Thompson has spoken out against the use of sloppy speech.

Ms Thompson, on a visit to her old school in North London, told pupils not to use slang words such as "innit," "because it makes you sound stupid, and you're not stupid".

I love you, Emma Thompson. I've always loved you. Thank you for making the world safe for semicolons once again.
